Half-Century Leader In Gas Compression Cooling Takes A New Name

December 23, 2009

TULSA OK – Air-X-Changers, a leading manufacturer of air-cooled heat exchangers used in gas compression and other applications for more than half a century, has taken a new name: Harsco Industrial Air-X-Changers.

The new name, officially adopted beginning January 1, better reflects the company’s long-standing relationship with Harsco Corporation (NYSE: HSC) – the U.S.-based, international corporation that acquired Air-X-Changers back in 1976, explained Vice President and General Manager Rick Ketchum.

“For more than 30 years, Harsco’s global strength and financial resources have been key factors in our success and continuous growth. Year after year, Harsco backing has helped us earn our reputation for path-breaking innovation, standard-setting quality and customer-first service.

“Our new name spotlights that relationship – a relationship that, behind the scenes until now, has benefited our company, our customers and our trade allies for more than three decades. Under the new brand, we will go forward together with the other companies in the Harsco family even better positioned for growth and new opportunities, thanks to Harsco’s worldwide presence and financial strength.” Ketchum said.

The name change is part of a comprehensive Harsco plan to rebrand and unify its business units to move forward as “One Harsco,” Ketchum added.
